Monday, 1/28: Meet in classroom first, then go to computer lab.
No WW this week. Enjoy the break so you can focus on starting the Research Project on the right foot.
“Top 3” possible topics of interest ‘due’ today. Study “10 Things You need to Know—AT A GLANCE—about Writing a Research Paper”.Listen to Mrs. Kuboff’s Media Center Presentation. Begin browsing books or searching sites. (Refer to handout “Step 6: Checklist for Evaluating Internet Sources”)

Tuesday, 1/29: Meet in classroom first, then go to computer lab.
Perform Steps 1 + 2. (Step 2/ Final topic due to teacher during class.) Begin Step 3 and print out/copy/save sources that seem helpful &informative for later. (Continue to use “Checklist for Evaluating Internet Sources”)

Wed., 1/30: Meet in classroom first, then go to computer lab.
Continue Step 3 during class: conduct more research. Print out/save/copy all sources that seem helpful. Start Step 4: Create research questions (& turn them in to teacher).

Thurs., 1/31: Meet in classroom first, then go to computer lab. Mrs. Tolin will be out of class today due to professional meetings all day-- but will return at the end of the day to collect any work.
Step 4 due: Turn in 3 research questions if not done Wed. (Skip Step 5 for now so we can take advantage of the computer lab availability for now.) Continue collecting sources (Step 6A) using “Step 6: Checklist for Evaluating Internet Sources” handout

Friday, 2/1: Meet in classroom first, then go to computer lab.

No WW posttest this week. Continue Step #6A while computer time is available: Collect sources (Print/copy/save). SNOW DAY!!!
